Quiet weekend at home with dreary rain and even a thunderstorm or two. Our gage reads over 2". I played Rachel Ray and with Janae's help cooked a couple of different 30 min. meals this weekend. Both were a flavorful success. They take us longer than 30 mins.
I did this lesson today while watching movies. Learned to make the ring here and practiced several techniques I've learned. Sweet photos of the Callie girl -thanks to sister for sharing! She is a fun scrapping subject.

Week 4 digital class
This is the last week of my class and it was worth the money. I learned a lot! I plan to take the next one this summer and practice more between now and then. http://www.jessicasprague.com/
The grid was really neat and a cool way to use several papers. I resized it to 8-1/2 x 11.
Love this photo...it is so "Daddy".

Wye Mtn.
A photo weekend - Spring daffodils, Easter, birthday!
We took Callie to Wye Mtn. on Saturday. There was a crowd and she got a little cold in the wind but we had blankets to snug her in when needed. For a 4 month old she was super sweet with all the distractions and a crazy family trying to get her to smile.
I love the photo of Callie and her Mommy (my little sister). Very sweet.
Me and my NaNa too! Janae has a new hair style!

Happy Birthday Krysta!
Celebrating #23 on Sunday, March 23rd. Her first Easter birthday and also a rare date for Easter. The birthday girl requested homemade cheesecake and the recipe I found was delish! The chocolate sauce took 2 attempts.
I put a the traditional ham in the oven, broccoli casserole, green beans and rolls. All prepared and ready to bake while the girls and I went to church. We extended a last minute invite to sister Jerri and family to make it a nice holiday gathering!
When we sang Bandit thought it was his birthday and treats were involved!
It is hard for us to believe our youngest is 23. We enjoy both our girls and they seem to enjoy hanging out with us too.
Happy Birthday Krysta! Love you!

project
This is the bedroom curtain project I’ve been working on. These are pre-made silk panels that I had to shorten a little and add blackout lining so they would look nicer during the daytime. The "faux shade" behind the panels was made from a shower curtain that matched my bedding. I'm searching for a tassel to hang in the center of each shade. I saw this idea in a Southern Living window book. It does make the windows look larger and fabric always adds a lot to a room.
Sorry I don't think this picture will enlarge.

Friday - mid March already!
This will be a quick post ---need to pack for the weekend trip to NW Arkansas to see family.
Another digital class creation. Lots of fun but I'm not sure the digital organization will be any easier than the paper kind. I'm still sort of confused.
I had a wonderful Birthday weekend with friends, family and food!
Happy 11th Birthday to my niece Eden!

Spring Birthday?
I don't remember it ever snowing on my birthday. The weather has been crazy this week even for Arkansas. This weekend it was warm and we did some yard work. Monday brought rain and Tuesday it looked like this outside---> Wed. and Thurs. warm again...
So far the roads aren't bad and hopefully we can still celebrate with dinner out tonight.
Today when I look out my window it looks like just like Tuesday. I remember in past years snow on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd but not on the 7th!
Yesterday I had lunch with friends. Three of the 4 of us have a March birthday so we celebrated with lunch and shopping. We didn't find much until our last stop and I found a nice painting for the house. Hubby was thrilled I continued with my tradition of buying my own gift. He was getting worried because I told him he would have to come up with something thoughtful and fun.

digital scrapbooking class
Fun! Fun! A scrappin' friend of mine lead me to this website Jessica Sprague and I signed up for her beginning digital scrapbook class. I made the first page this morning and learned several new things already. Having the video lesson and being able to replay something I want repeated is really awesome. Here is the page I made!
